Liberty IV is proud to add a new prescription therapy to our services. One of our goals is to make our therapy available to everyone. There is a new prescription drug approved by the FDA. It goes under the brand name Semaglutide. Let’s cover this new treatment plan and review how it works
What is Semaglutide?
You may have seen medications recently advertised by the name OZEMPIC® & WEGOVY®.
The major active ingredient of this medication compound is semaglutide. The FDA Approved Semaglutide injections in June 2021 for chronic weight management. It is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. This chemical Targets the brain & regulates appetite. It also slows the stomach from emptying. Having a full stomach builds a feeling of fullness. The medication also levels and regulates insulin spikes. Last, this reduced hunger is the result of painless injections into the belly or thigh. The same needle used in insulin injections can be used to deliver this medicine.

How to Start the Semaglutide Weight Loss Injections:
To start this program with Liberty IV, you will need to visit one of our clinic locations and meet with a paramedic on staff that will collect your medical history and takes your vitals. There you will take the next steps to have a physician consultation and start a video conference. Our board-certified doctor has extensive experience in family practice and even in the emergency room. Together your medical history will be reviewed before confirming you are a candidate for this treatment plan. A prescription is required to receive semaglutide injections.
Our Semaglutide NAD+ Compound
One main difference in our prescription weight loss program is the addition of NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide). This is a naturally occurring coenzyme in all living cells. NAD+ enables the rebuilding of our cells on a molecular level. It is a safe and naturally occurring compound already in our bodies. Our medical professionals will cover the semaglutide weight loss program and begin the first shot in your belly or thigh. This is a small injection, made into the fatty layer of the skin, and uses the same small needle used for insulin. You will then return weekly on the same day for your follow-up treatment. Keep in mind you can give yourself this medication in your own home as you make progress in the program.
I Heard Ozempic & Wegovy is Expensive
